the News

news, updates, historical notices, etc...

January 19: I finally got my computer to work here at home to upload to the website...so here are the big news flashes:

*FLASH* Burping Dog Records has asked Natural Gas to sign to the label, and the Gas agreed. Check the homepage for a link to the official Burping Dog Records site for proof.

*FLASH* The T-shirts are being ordered momentarily...alot of crap has been gone through, but I believe that the t-shirts will be done within a week and a half.

*FLASH* Ok, there is no flash here, I am just a compulsive flasher.

December 18: JUAN AND CARRIE HAVE GOTTEN MARRIED. This is the first Gas marriage...a truly special moment.

November 12...EMAIL RECEIVED FROM JUAN MCF:
To all who care about Dr. Schnee,
My sister, Sarah, has just informed me of an amazing finding she, um,
found in her studies of the German language at Truman State University.
The German word for snow is "der Schnee!" I suggest we find ways to
utilize this knowledge. This is double cool for anyone who recalls the
days when the brothers klekamp frequently used the word "Der" as a
substitute for the more popular "Duh."
Peace out,
Juan

October 26: here is a little story Max wrote at the TEAM weekend about Graeme:
"Graeme's Life Story"
Once upon a time in a land far away (not Australia) there lived a baby kiwi--for time's sake, we will call this baby kiwi 'Graeme.'
'Graeme' had aspirations of being an accountant. While counting in his shed one night, 'Graeme' was run off to America by the Kiwi Mafia. Once in America, 'Graeme' became a counselor at "Camp Why Me" for a month, but ended up staying for 18 months.
'Graeme' returned to New Zealan, but it just wasn't the same. The other kiwi's made fun of 'Graeme' because he left his job. You see, 'Graeme' would have been a very wealthy kiwi had he kept his job as an accountant. 'Graeme' could have bought himself a very big shed with a hot tub.
While pondering what could have been one night, 'Graeme' fell asleep and had a vision from the Big Kiwi in the Sky, we'll call him 'God.' 'God' told 'Graeme' to return to America and become a paramedic. So, not wanting to disobey 'God', 'Graeme' returned to America.
While practicing paramedicism (which is a word I just made up), 'Graeme' met a female kiwi, we'll call her 'Lori,' who was also practicing paramedicism (which once again is not a real word). Together, 'Graeme' and 'Lori' had one offspring, whom we will call 'Mariah.'
Happy with the plan 'God' had laid out before him, 'Graeme' took his kiwi wife, 'Lori,' and his kiwi daughter, 'Mariah,' and lived happily ever after in a cozy little shed practicing paramedicism, which again is not a real word.
The End

October 16: Natural Gas played on October 14, 2000. They really Rocked the Show! Video was shot, and will be released within the month. T-shirts are currently on sale through the end of October, if interested, email Luke at:
babybuddha@hotmail.com

August 8: Natural Gas practiced last night, and is coming along nicely. The additions of Andy and Kevin is not final yet for the October concert, but is anticipated eagerly. Natural Gas has decided on these songs to entice the crowd with at the Octoberfest of sorts:

Party Wagonaca
Scweppe's Ginger Ale (new)
War Within
Traffic Jam (new)
Pig Maniac
Makes Jason Laugh (new everytime)

and the Brothers Brozie will be opening for the Gasonateurs, sure to make one explosive night!!!

Also, the Gas' t-shirts are going to look awesome this concert. As you may know, they do have a new shirt everytime, and this time the design is that of the CREST toothpaste logo, with some IMP entries and a Powerpuff type girl as well. Maybe I will have a picture of it here sometime, but don't be expecting that.

natural gas is part of this balanced breakfast.
